Cake Party: 9th July, 2011

Dear Friends & Family,

This is an idea developed following last weekends introductory course on Permaculture.

What's it all about you ask...? We are having a massive cake party. The cake is soooo big that you need to bring a garden fork in order to eat it (it's not a trick, honest, please bring one, seriously). At the cake party there will be some cool stuff to do like learning how to cut the cake with a petrol chainsaw (TBC) (if we find there are not enough cakes we can supplement them with trees). We also have some other team building activities like clearing junk from a stream (helps build appetite for cake) and a weed digging competition (ditto).

Sounds like fun hey!? If you are interested in helping err coming along please remember to bring cake. Also bring ropes, winches and pulleys. Also, bring something to wash the cake down with, preferably something previously fermented. Any cake fans that like to over indulge in liquid refreshments are welcome to camp in the field with the sheep. Bring kids, any kids handy with chainsaws are a plus. Great British BBQ cuisine is cool too, preferably something organic to avoid making the local cows mad.

10th July is the Barn's two year anniversary and this could be a moving in party too (it depends how i get on with the interior painting) so we'd love to see friends and family here for some funshine (yes, that's a new word) and laughter. (sorry about all the brackets)

Lots of love,

Andy & Sally x
